History: Once, long before humans existed, there was a River God. He existed on top of a mountain, looping in a continue circle. He was content. But his brother, The Black God, was not. It was his mission to cause trouble wherever he could. So, he planned a trick, on his older and stronger brother, the River God. He caused him to break his circle, and flow down the mountain. The River God's fury was unparalleled, and he attacked his brother, causing him to sustain injuries that placed him in a deep sleep. The River Gods fury faded, but something new remained. He was no longer content. He was hungry. Always. But he could only eat what was along his path. After much thinking, he came up with a plan. He decided to plant a seed of his power into the new creatures that line his banks. He knew, eventually, that seed would go strong, and he would be able to fuse with one of those creatures, and become free from his banks, to fill up this ravenousness hunger. He then fell into a sleep, awaiting the time for that human to arive. Around this time, The Black God woke. He saw what his brother had done, and instantly knew what his brother planned. He decided to stop it, not out of guilt for what he had unleashed, but because it would be the greatest challenge that he had ever had. First, he collected a select group of humans, and taught them how to combat the power of the River God. He then installed them in the group of humans that had the seed of the river. Over the years, these gifted few, who called themselves 'Priests of the River'. The River's children believed them, and raised them up so that they were only below the King and Queen themselves in status. The Black Gods plan was once more working perfectly. Every time one of the Waterborn became too powerful, the 'Priests' would take care of them. Because the power of the river is not made to be contained, if too much of it filled a human body, it began to change it, giving them features of river creatures, scales, pinchers, gills, etr. The priests would search every child of royal blood for these features, once a year. If they showed any signs of rashes or other signs of discomfort, they would check them everyday for a week. If nothing showed by then, they would wait until next year. If they did show signs, they would take them down into a special room, where the power of the River God was strong, but contained. Any Waterborn that was too strong would transform once it was exposed to the power of the water. If they did transform, the priests would seal them away in a different dimension, and they never would be seen again. This is how it continues to this day...

Alliance: The River God

Location: In Iwa, where a mountain stands from which the great River God flows.

Features:They always have lightish eyes, blues and greens usually, but never browns. Also, their hair is always different shades of blue, and they're always very skinny. More often than not, they are average hight, usually not very tall or very short. They are always stronger than they look as well.

Stages: There is a total of four 'stages'. The first is always active from birth, but the others have to be 'activated' whenever those abilities want to be used. All of these stages have to do with moving water in general, but is increased tenfold when The River is involved, for example, if one was in The River, stage 1 would be equal to stage 3 in power. All of these stages also have a few downsides. The farther they are from The River, the harder they are to activate (the stronger the royal blood is, the less this affects them). They always hear The Rivers voice in the background from birth, but the higher up in the stages they go, the louder, clearer, and more persuasive the voice of The River becomes.

Stage 1: Anyone with royal blood in them has this stage, no mater how thin that blood may be. Its pretty straightforward. It makes water jutsu's easier for them, the water almost seems to want to obey. Also, whenever they are in(or on) moving water, their bodies react. They're reaction speed increases and they begin to think faster. They move faster in the water then they do on land, like a fish.

Stage 2: This stage happens in the eyes. No mater what color the eye is, it will shift to a dark blue. When this stage is active, they can 'sense' moving water within a mile of wherever they are. It doesn't mater if its a mile below them either, they can still sense it. They can also call water to them if its within 100 feet, for use in water jutsu's. When in moving water, the range doubles.

Stage 3: First, this Stage is a more powerful version of stage 1, speed, strength, and intelligence increase greatly. It also causes moving water (Fountains, Rivers, even just a trickle) to become protective of the user. Similar to Gaara's sand, it moves to guard the royal blood, as long as it is within a few feet of him or her, lashing out at anyone who comes within four feet of the user. This isn't a conscience choice by the user, once they hit this stage it just happens automatic. Downside is that the water attacks friends and foes. When in moving water, the power doubles.

Stage 4: Stage 4 is the last, and most rarely seen, of the Stages. The user gains a 'cloak' of blue chakra around them, shaped like some kind of water demon(similar to Naruto's Fox Cloak). This stage give the user all the power of stage 3, and more, because the user doesn't need to be in the water to gain the full power. However, because this power stems from The River directly, the closer to The River the user is, the more powerful this stage is. But, if the user stepped into The River in this stage... The River would forever take over their body.
