History:

There is demon, from the bright depths of Hell. It was placed on earth and sealed within a young tree so that it could not do what it believed its destiny was. The only purpose of this things life was to wake the sleeping gods and have them unmake the world back to the 'pure nothingness' is what it claimed. This was the only creature able to do so and even the demons didn't want this to become reality. From the day the Ikaku was imprisoned, the tree became old and withered. Anyone that came near it would have their thoughts twisted by the evil aura from it. It would do anything to trick them to releasing it. Luckily, a group of people knew of this evil. They stood guard around the tree, to stop any poor fool from releasing it. But, after many generations one of the order was corrupted himself. He released it in exchange for power. Unfortunately for the Scourge, this man was killed by the order, and Ikaku almost killed them all, but one was able to seal him to his back before he could escape. That was Rynok Ukiuki. He had been the most lighthearted and playful of the order. But being the only survivor saddened him. It took away much of his vast strength, and he was unable to reseal the demon within the tree. So, he spent the rest of his life, fighting the demon. Then the demon stopped struggling. Rynok spent the rest of his days in peace, gathering his strength. He got married, and had a child. As he got older, he realized that he wouldn't have the strength to reseal the demon ever again. He then knew what he had to do. He got a scroll and wrote down instructions on how to seal it away and cut down a branch of the tree making it into a staff. When this was completed, he went to his son. He was 18 years old at the time. He told his son what he had to do, and his son accepted. Then, channeling it through the staff so the demon could not escape, he transferred the seal, from him to his son. His son went on a rampage, unable to control the power of Ikaku, and killed many people. The entire family was exiled from the village, and there last name was changed to Oyami, In Darkness. After that, his son gained control of the demon, and was able to live out his life. But, he wasn't strong enough to seal the demon either. That was the start of the Oyami clan. It passed down generation through generation, waiting for one strong enough to seal the demon back in the tree.

------- Bloodline -------

Bloodline Name: Ikaku

Stages:

Stage 0: The demon isn’t really doing anything yet, but the Jinchuuriki can access his considerable chakra. Also, the Jinchuuriki’s healing is much greater than usual. The users chakra is instantly converted to shadow, though any children of the Jinchuuriki will also be able to use shadow with a bit more difficulty.

Stage 1: As the demon awakens, the Jinchuuriki is given more speed and strength, as the demons ‘body’ supplements his or her own. At the same time, that awakening slows the Jinchuuriki down, because the demon starts to try and take control of the body himself.

Stage 2: The demon’s form spreads over the entire body, causing the speed and strength to increase exponentially as the entire body is now supported by Ikaku. As this layer of darkness is quite thick, it provides a useful armor. The blackness can be shaped into other forms and will often sprout blades from the arms and back. The demon becomes more insistent in controlling the body.

Stage 3: The demon fully leaves the body, making the user become normal speed and strength, basically taking away all previous benefits. The demon however, for the time off the body, becomes full strength, even stronger than in stage two, as the ‘human’ restrictions are removed. In this form, he can manipulate shadows, making them become wider and longer as he wishes. The mental strength of the demon increases as well, making it even harder to stop.

Description:

Stage 0: The demon is inactive, and is a simple black tattoo spread over his back. It resembles a triangle with a point at the base of the spine that widens as it goes up the back. It also has tendrils that flow off, following the ribs.

Stage 1: The tendrils on the ribs rise off the skin and try to start moving around in the air, while still connected to the main triangle on the back.

Stage 2: The tentacles reattach, and the blackness spreads over the entire body, thickening as it does so. This makes the user look like a thicker Ikaku.

Stage 3: The demon completely separates from body, forming a human shaped ink blob, the fully released form.

Population: There are around 400 people that are part of the 'extended clan'. That is they can and will use the secret techniques, but don't and never have felt the pain of Ikaku. Nor do they have the 'stage' benefits of Ikaku.

Profession: Tend to be good craftmen. Blacksmiths, carpenters, leather workers.
